We look forward to receiving your candidacy and we welcome a diverse candidate pool!</p> <p>Position: .5 PreK Teacher</p> <p>Location: Harwinton Consolidated School</p> <p>Reports to: Building Principal</p> <p>Starting Date: With the commencement of the 2025-2026 school year</p> <p>Region 10 is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Pre-K Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working with young children with special needs, helping them to achieve their fullest potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Create and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with varying disabilities in a reverse inclusion classroom. </li><li>Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support student development and well-being. </li><li>Case manage students with IEPs. </li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP goals. </li><li>Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment. </li><li>Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience in a combination of the following areas:</p> <ul> <li>State certification in Special Education. CT Endorsement 113 preferred. </li><li>Experience working with young children with special needs, preferably in a Pre-K setting. </li><li>Strong understanding of early childhood development and special education practices. </li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. </li><li>Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching young children with diverse needs. </li></ul> <p>Date Posted: 6/9/2025</p> <p>Application Deadline: When filled</p> <p>Application Procedure: Please apply on-line at www.region10ct.org.</p> <p>Internal Candidates: Complete an updated resume and letter of interest through Frontline by the closing of the posting.
