Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, the Medical Assistant (MA) will be responsible for providing the following to include, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Assist physicians/nurse practitioners with examinations and procedures as needed </li><li>Assist patients in understanding provider orders </li><li>Monitor and document vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respirations, as well as chief complaints, medical history and allergy history for patients </li><li>Administer allowed injections/shots to patients </li><li>Set up exam rooms with appropriate supplies and equipment </li><li>Process patient referrals in a timely manner </li><li>Adhere to Universal Precautions and OSHA Guidelines </li></ul> <p>High School Diploma or GED. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training program, certification as Certified/Registered Medical Assistant preferred. Candidates must have a valid CPR certification, which must be maintained throughout employment. One year of previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a Healthcare facility is preferred.
