Our goal is to provide an experience that will be an important, effective first step in the career of a future project engineer.</p> <p>This position is for a Summer & Fall 2026 Co-Op, with a start date of May 2026 and an end date of January 2027.</p> <p>What Youll Do:</p> <p>Product Testing</p> <ul> <li>Execute a test plan under the direction of a project engineer, format the results in a useable and effective manner, analyze the results against stated objectives and report the findings. </li></ul> <p>Lab/Shop</p> <ul> <li>Assist in building prototypes by operating various machine shop tools and performing basic fabrication techniques. </li><li>Design and fabricate test fixtures. </li></ul> <p>Equipment Evaluation</p> <ul> <li>Assemble/tear down equipment (competitors and Hunters) for hands-on experience and for assisting the project engineer in competitor analysis and/or equipment operation. </li></ul> <p>Liaison Engineering</p> <ul> <li>Discuss the concept and principles of manufacturability/productivity with the project engineer and the manufacturing engineer. </li><li>Review and perform fabrication and assembly when necessary. </li><li>Discuss the liaison role and requirements of getting a design out of engineering into manufacturing. </li></ul> <p>Quality Assurance</p> <ul> <li>Discuss the concept and principles of designing quality into a product. </li></ul> <p>What Youll Bring:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum 2.5 GPA (must be on resume)</p> </li><li> <p>Major study in:</p> </li><li> <p>Mechanical Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Aerospace Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Manufacturing Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience using tools preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to safely perform occasional physical tasks, including lifting and manipulating up to 50 lbs</p> </li></ul> <p>What We Offer:</p> <ul> <li>Real-world experience </li><li>Off-campus team bonding/appreciation event </li><li>Free Onsite Fitness & Recreation Center </li></ul> <p>Join us in our mission to Align People and Innovation to Drive Excellence!</p> <ul> <li>Make Lives Better Together </li><li>Take Pride in the Extraordinary </li><li>Define the Standard </li></ul> <p>Hunter Engineering does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
