As we continue to expand, we are searching for a Senior Agricultural Lender to join our amazing team!</p> <p>The Senior Ag Lender is a sales role focused on growing the agricultural loan portfolio through relationship building, loans, deposits, and membership growth. Responsibilities include selling commercial products to existing and prospective members, managing an agriculture-related portfolio, and working with farmers and agricultural businesses to assess financial needs and loan applications. The successful candidate will build brand recognition and maintain a company presence in their market.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for building brand recognition and establishing a community presence in the assigned market. </li><li>Primary focused on cross-selling to existing members, developing strategies to grow the agricultural loan portfolio, and engaging in outside sales activities such as business calls community functions, and events to drive new membership growth. </li><li>Utilize lending and credit expertise to deliver quality sophisticated credit solutions best suited to meet the client's needs. </li><li>Consistently meet or exceed individual and team production goals, increasing credit union growth and profitability. </li><li>Monitor and manage the agricultural loan portfolio, including reviewing loan performance, identifying potential credit issues, and taking appropriate actions to mitigate risks. </li><li>Prepare and present loan proposals to loan committees or other decision-makers, providing a clear and concise analysis of borrowers' financials, risk factors, and repayment capacity. </li><li>Collaborate with other departments, such as credit administration, risk management, and legal, to ensure compliance with lending policies, procedures, and regulations. </li><li>Conduct thorough financial analysis of loan applications, including reviewing financial statements, cash flow projections, collateral, and other relevant information, to evaluate credit risk and make loan recommendations. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Experience Required:</p> <ul> <li>College degree in finance, business, agriculture or a combination of education and experience. </li><li>Three to five years of related financial sales experience required. </li><li>Proven experience as an Agricultural Loan Officer with a successful track record in agricultural lending. </li><li>Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, establish trust, and provide exceptional customer service. </li></ul>
