<p>Purpose The Industrial Electrician role performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and controls in an industrial manufacturing environment to ensure reliable operation, compliance with electrical codes, and minimal production downtime.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities Diagnose and Troubleshoot Systems (30%)</p> <p>Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in machinery, control systems, and power distribution using test instruments and schematics to identify and correct issues efficiently.</p> <p>Install Electrical Infrastructure (25%)</p> <p>Specify and plan electrical installations in accordance with electrical codes and safety standards. Bend and install conduit, pull and terminate wiring, and set up or reconfigure electrical systems to support equipment upgrades, process improvements, and new installations.</p> <p>Perform Preventative Maintenance (15%)</p> <p>Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and electronic components to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.</p> <p>Document Work to Improve Maintenance Tracking (10%)</p> <p>Accurately complete work orders, logs, and checklists to support data-driven decisions and strengthen maintenance planning. Maintain up-to-date schematics and records of electrical changes.</p> <p>Support Safety Standards and Compliance (10%)</p> <p>Maintain clean, well-organized workspaces, and tool storage areas to reduce hazards and enhance team productivity. Participate in audits, document findings, and ensure completed jobs align with EFCO standards and procedures. Follow all safety rules, engage in safety initiatives, and promptly report unsafe conditions.</p> <p>Operate Tools and Equipment Safely and Effectively (10%)</p> <p>Utilize hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes) in accordance with safety protocols to minimize risk and improve task efficiency.</p> <p>Additional duties may be assigned to meet organizational goals and priorities. Etc. Technical/vocational training in industrial electricity is preferred. Experience: Must pass an electrical aptitude test. Minimum of 1 year in a related electrical field. Other Requirements: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Competence in using electrical test equipment.</p> <p>Working Arrangement</p> <p>This role will work 100% onsite at our Des Moines, IA location.</p>
