<p>Summary:</p> <p>The Benefits Specialist will administer and manage all aspects of the company's employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, retirement, leave of absence, and wellness initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented HR professional with at least five years of benefits experience who can balance compliance, accuracy, and employee support while ensuring Skyline Displays' benefits programs remain competitive and cost-effective.</p> <p>Essential Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Administer and manage all employee benefit programs (health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), FSA/HSA, wellness, etc.). </li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, claims issues and other general inquiries. </li><li>Manages COBRA enrollment. </li><li>Provides accurate employee payroll deductions and employer contributions to payroll in a timely manner. </li><li>Processes carrier invoices for timely payment, performs quality checks of benefits-related data and provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges. </li><li>Ensures the organizations and insurance plans are in compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA, ACA, FMLA, etc. Completes records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies. </li><li>Manages the annual Open Enrollment process and works closely with the benefits broker to ensure the accuracy of benefit plans, timely communications, vendor coordination, and successful enrollment of employee benefit elections. </li><li>Partner with vendors and brokers to resolve complex issues, negotiate renewals, and improve plan offerings. </li><li>Support HR team in managing leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, short- and long-term disability, state leaves). Follows the appropriate Leave of Absence and FMLA guidelines to ensure proper administration of all requests and disability paperwork. </li><li>Addresses 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. </li><li>Internally leads the annual 401(k) audit process. </li><li>Ensures the accuracy of the Profit-sharing eligibility and contributions. </li><li>Processes the annual 1094 and 1095-C Forms for annual ACA compliance. </li><li>Administers the tuition reimbursement program. </li><li>Files the annual EEO-1 Reports. </li><li>Prepare reports, analyze benefits utilization, and recommend improvements to optimize cost and employee satisfaction. </li><li>Stay up to date on benefits trends, legislative changes, and best practices to ensure Skyline Displays remains competitive. </li></ul> <p>Education/Certification:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). </li><li>SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification credential preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>5 years of experience administering benefits required </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws. </li><li>Strong knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations (COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, FMLA, etc.). </li><li>Experience managing vendor and broker relationships. </li><li>High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to handle confidential information with integrity. </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel, HRIS (ADP). Ability to compile reports from the HRIS for various audits. </li><li>Communication: Capacity to listen effectively; respond clearly and directly, use vocabulary appropriate to the situation; prepare clear, concise reports and records; receive written or oral instructions; use appropriate style, grammar, and tone in informational and formal business communications. </li><li>Organizational Ability: Capability to plan, organize and monitor activities according to priorities; establish schedules, deadlines or quotas; coordinate resources toward fulfillment of desired objectives; organize work autonomously or as part of a team; control and/or adapt to interruptions, changes, disorder without losing efficiency or composure. </li><li>Decision-Making: Ability to recognize symptoms of problems; gather and analyze information; consider a broad range of issues or factors; grasp complexities and perceive relationships among problems and issues; select the best alternative; make timely, sound decisions even under conditions of risk and uncertainty; sought out by others for advice and solutions. </li><li>Customer Service Focus: Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with all customers; able to anticipate and respond quickly to customers' requests; can ask for and act on customers' feedback regarding service levels and needs. </li><li>Commitment to Quality: Able to emphasize the need to deliver quality services; can define standards for quality and evaluate processes and services against those standards. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Position is sedentary in nature </li><li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer </li></ul>
