<p>The primary role of this position is to provide technical leadership, management oversight and stakeholder support in planning for a reliable bulk electric power system in New England and Northeastern North America. This is achieved by planning, controlling, coordinating, and managing the reliability assessment process under the ISO-NE Tariff.</p> <p>What we offer you:</p> <ul> <li>Hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days/week onsite </li><li>Relocation </li><li>Base salary plus performance bonus program, professional development and tuition reimbursement, enhanced 401k and financial planning, wellness programs with onsite gym, onsite luncheon spaces with free coffee and a variety of dining options flexible work hours, access to business networks & more, all in a stable and supportive work environment! </li></ul> <p>How you will make an Impact</p> <ul> <li>Managing, monitoring progress, evaluating performance, and leading the activities of Transmission Planning engineers. </li><li>Ensuring compliance with NERC, NPCC, and ISO planning standards and requirements. </li><li>Administering and coordinating regional reliability studies and processes, including Needs Assessments and Solutions Studies </li><li>Reviewing New England transmission owners' local system plans, and coordination of those plans with ISO-NE-led regional planning processes </li><li>Reviewing New England transmission owners' proposals and any associated studies </li><li>Leading development, testing, and maintenance of automation tools used in System Planning studies </li><li>Developing and presenting materials for the Planning Advisory Committee and supporting development of the annual Regional System Plan. </li><li>Conducting analyses to support resolution of NEPOOL committee and regional transmission issues. </li><li>Developing and recommending new business processes, and periodic review of existing business processes </li><li>Updating and developing Planning Procedures </li><li>Supporting the preparation and control of the Transmission Planning budget. </li></ul> <p>What we are looking for</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science in Electric Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required. </li><li>Thorough knowledge of electric power system network analysis, transmission planning and assessment techniques, and transmission system reliability standards. </li></ul> <p>Desirable not required:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Electric Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering or an MBA. </li><li>Supervisory experience in the power systems field. </li><li>Registered Professional Engineer. </li><li>Ten to fifteen years of experience in electric utility system planning/operations planning. </li><li>Knowledge of ISO-NE/NEPOOL organization and processes. </li></ul> <p>#LI-HYBRID</p>
