We offer career opportunities where you can contribute and grow.</p> <p>Start your journey with us</p> <p>The Cincinnati Insurance Companies' Legal Litigation office in Fairfield, Ohio is currently seeking a paralegal to assist attorneys with personal injury litigation and responding to company subpoenas. This position will be based out of the Fairfield legal office, but the successful candidate will support attorneys in multiple field offices.</p> <p>Salary Range: The pay range for this position is $55,000-$80,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.</p> <p>Be Ready To:</p> <ul> <li>Assist attorneys in preparation for trials, arbitrations, mediations, depositions, etc. and attend when appropriate </li><li>Assist attorneys in preparation and organization of their files </li><li>Assist attorneys in answering corporate subpoenas </li><li>Assist attorneys in conducting factual investigations, including interview of witnesses, and analyze and summarize factual information </li><li>Attend client, expert and/or witness meetings/depositions when appropriate </li><li>Collect medical records and bills and review, index, organize, analyze, and summarize them </li><li>Communicate with court and opposing counsel regarding scheduling matters, hearing dates, filings, etc. </li><li>File documents in various courts when necessary </li><li>Index and summarize deposition testimony and exhibits </li><li>Organize, analyze and prepare exhibits in preparation for trials, arbitrations, mediations, depositions, etc. </li><li>Prepare discovery requests to other parties </li><li>Prepare responses to discovery requests from other parties </li><li>Review, index, organize, analyze, and summarize documents produced by other parties </li><li>Schedule IMEs and assure that the medical records get to the IME physician in a timely fashion </li></ul> <p>Be Equipped With:</p> <ul> <li>7 years of civil litigation experience - insurance defense experience preferred; subpoena work a plus </li><li>excellent organizational and communication skills </li><li>good follow up practices with attention to detail </li><li>experience with Microsoft products </li><li>familiarity with local courts </li><li>ability to work well with a team and independently </li><li>ability to handle multiple projects at once </li><li>ability to handle a variety of work </li><li>maintain composure and professionalism under pressure </li><li>maintain strict confidentiality with respect to information learned as a result of involvement with litigation processes </li></ul> <p>Enhance your talents</p> <p>Providing outstanding service and developing strong relationships with our independent agents are hallmarks of our company.
