Come join our growing team!</p> <p>Job Purpose:</p> <p>The Scaffold Helper II supports scaffold crews with the safe erection and dismantling of scaffolding on jobsites throughout New York City. This role focuses on material handling, tool use, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while following supervision and working at elevated heights.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Support scaffold crews in the erecting and dismantling of scaffolding systems.</p> </li><li> <p>From elevated positions, receive and pass materials to crew members during scaffold erection or dismantling (daisy-chain process).</p> </li><li> <p>From the ground, unload, stage, and pass materials to crews, load materials into racks for transport back to the scaffold yard.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with organizing and maintaining a scaffold yard, including unloading racks after dismantling.</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect scaffold components for damage or defects and report issues to supervision.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize scaffolding tools safely and correctly during erection and dismantling activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free jobsite.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in the Job Safety Planning (JSP) process and exercise Stop Work Authority when unsafe conditions are observed.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate effectively with crew members and supervision throughout daily activities.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>At least six months of scaffolding experience required.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be local to the NYC area.
