The Intervention Teacher is responsible for helping students develop proficient math and literacy skills.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Create instructional resources for use in the classroom. </li><li>Support a positive school climate by enforcing school-wide expectations and learning strategies to support all learners </li><li>Plan, prepare and deliver research based instructional activities in whole group, small group and 1:1 </li><li>Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in. </li><li>Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation pertinent to academic, social, and emotional progress and needs of students. </li><li>Utilize provided curriculum </li><li>Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans. </li><li>Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served. </li><li>Meet course and school-wide student performance goals. </li><li>Participate in ongoing training sessions. </li><li>Read and stay abreast of current topics in education. </li><li>Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met. </li><li>Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. </li><li>Prepare and distribute required reports. </li><li>Observe and evaluate student's performance. </li><li>Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures. </li><li>Maintain grade books. </li><li>Grade papers and perform other duties as needed. </li><li>Create projects designed to enhance lectures. </li><li>Develop incentives to keep participants in class. </li><li>Communicate students' progress, and needs with parents/guardians and other staff as needed. </li><li>Attend, come prepared for, and participate in team planning, as well as data teams, MTSS/RTI (when applicable) and student support team discussions to strengthen the knowledge of intervention strategies and instructional practices. </li><li>Work closely with other teachers and administration to deliver small group and individualized instruction that addresses student needs in reading, math, and other core areas. </li><li>Any and all other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree with an Elementary Education teaching certification is preferred. </li><li>Previous teaching experience required </li><li>Candidates should have strong, demonstrated experience in literacy and mathematic instruction </li><li>Familiar with the RTI process and tiered instruction. </li><li>Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Teaching License. The Weld Re-9 School District considers and advises candidates pursuing or considering alternative pathways to the classroom. </li></ul> <p>Salary and Benefits:</p> <p>Salary range is $49,250-$64,750 per year as of the time of this posting depending on education, years of teaching experience, and professional development credits. The district provides health insurance benefits including dental and vision, PERA retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability, an optional supplemental 401(k) plan, an employee assistance plan, a tuition reimbursement program, and the ability to enroll in supplemental insurances and savings accounts through a third-party vendor.
