<p>Wisconsin Building Supply operates locations throughout Wisconsin supplying windows, doors, roofing, siding, millwork, builders hardware, columns, trim, mouldings, cabinetry, countertops, decking, railing, gypsum, lumber & plywood, insulation, and additional building materials.</p> <p>.</p> <p>A Brief Overview</p> <p>The Estimator uses computer technology and mathematical skill to prepare an estimation of the amount of material needed for the construction of a home in accordance with Company policies.</p> <p>What you will do</p> <ul> <li>Estimate the amount of materials needed for home construction according to company policy and local building code. </li><li>Assist salesmen as needed with customer orders and materials lists. </li><li>Assist in trim take-offs as requested. </li><li>Provide assistance to contractors as needed. </li><li>Train sales representatives in estimating techniques. </li><li>Assist sales staff with blueprint reading and construction procedures. </li><li>Review actual vs. estimated materials on completion of each project. </li><li>Work on sales/ hardware counter as assigned. </li><li>Control expenditures to conform to company budgetary requirements. </li></ul> <p>Required For All Jobs</p> <ul> <li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li><li>Comply with all policies and standards. </li><li>Adhere to Company's commitment to workplace safety. </li><li>Participate in and complete assigned trainings. </li></ul> <p>Education Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree in engineering or related area required. </li></ul> <p>Experience Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>1-3 years construction and building materials related experience required. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read blueprints and other technical materials. </li><li>Ability to interpret building plans in diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables. </li><li>Ability to operate networked computer systems and specialized software application programs and to instruct others in effective use of application software. </li><li>Must have excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills. </li><li>Understanding of measurements and basic math principles. </li></ul> <p>.</p> <p>Wisconsin Building Supply, a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
