<p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Receive emergency or non-emergency calls, dispatching personnel and equipment, and providing pre-arrival instructions to callers by performing the following duties.</p> <p>DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: None</p> <p>KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate emergency calls and relay daily information and assistance requests involving other law enforcement and firefighting agencies. </li><li>Enter, update, and retrieve information from computer systems relating to radio traffic, lost and found, stolen property, and other information. </li><li>Test, inspect, and operate radio, telephone, computer, and other equipment as needed. </li><li>Prepare, review, and maintain reports, statistics, and records. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.</p> <p>LANGUAGE SKILLS:</p> <p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.</p> <p>MATHMATICAL SKILLS:</p> <p>Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.</p> <p>COMCOMPUTER SKILLS:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.</p> <p>REASONING ABILITY:</p> <p>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</p> <p>REQUIRED PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:</p> <p>Responsible for fostering a fun environment. Responsible for being gracious to all guests and co-workers. Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events. Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
