<p>Description:</p> <p>You will be a hands-on, engineering hardware-focused technician supporting the Statics group at Lockheed Martin. Our team is responsible for providing mechanical support for structural testing applications, and you will play a key role in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team comprising research engineers, systems engineers, and test engineers.</p> <p>What You Will Be Doing</p> <p>As a technician, you will be responsible for providing mechanical support for structural testing applications, including:</p> <ul> <li>Load testing using hydraulic actuators </li><li>Burst testing </li><li>Thermal testing </li><li>Other development vehicle testing </li><li>Interpreting drawing packages, wiring diagrams, and schematics for buildup and teardown of large-scaled structural load test setups </li><li>Mechanical troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components </li><li>Occasional implementation of metal or wood fabrication for test setup and repairs </li><li>Supporting proof load services provided to the Metrology Group, including: </li><li>Visually inspecting tooling </li><li>Applying periodic loading on engineering/development and production/deliverable tooling </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us</p> <p>We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced technician to join our team. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.</p> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with rigging to safely lift heavy loads in support of structural testing </li><li>Demonstrated sound writing and verbal communication skills in a teaming environment. </li><li>Demonstrated experience with Test Equipment and Test Methodologies. </li><li>Ability to attain DoD Secret Clearance. </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Experience maintaining calibration records for periodic proof load activities. </li><li>Experience with hydraulic actuators, hydraulic plumbing and servos </li><li>Knowledgeable on the use of loadcells and readout boxes to perform weight and CG measurements. </li><li>Familiarity with structural load test equipment, test setup and mechanical drawings </li></ul> <p>Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.</p> <p>Clearance Level: Secret</p> <p>Other Important Information You Should Know</p> <p>Expression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
