<p>Early College Teacher-Grade 12 JobID: 529</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Early College (12)</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>6/11/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>District</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>LEAP Academy University Charter School, Camden, NJ is seeking a highly qualified Early College Teacher Grade 12 that will partner with the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Reinforce and reteach concepts from college-level English, History, or Liberal Arts courses to ensure student mastery.</p> </li><li> <p>Design and deliver mini-lessons, workshops, and small group instruction aligned to course content and college professor pacing.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide academic interventions for students needing additional support.</p> </li><li> <p>Student Monitoring & Advisement</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor student progress and performance in college courses using assessments, assignments, and feedback from college professors.</p> </li><li> <p>Hold regular academic check-ins and support students with time management, note-taking, writing, and study strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with school counselors and program staff to ensure students stay on track for graduation and college credit completion.</p> </li><li> <p>Communication & Collaboration</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain regular communication with college faculty, Early College coordinators, and high school leadership to align supports.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in planning meetings, IEP/504 discussions (as needed), and professional development sessions.</p> </li><li> <p>Instructional Planning</p> </li><li> <p>Develop supplemental instructional materials that align with college syllabi.</p> </li><li> <p>Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices and student-centered learning strategies.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Duties</p> <p>Performs other related tasks as designated by the Chief Academic Officer.</p> <p>Education & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred </li><li>Required NJ state teacher certification (New Jersey Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) or be eligible for reciprocity with an out-of-state certificate) </li><li>Experience working directly with special education population in an urban classroom setting </li><li>Documented experience using data-driven instruction to achieve significant student gains </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Full medical, dental, prescription and vision coverage, including spouse, child and family coverage </li><li>Mandatory enrollment in NJ Pension (TPAF) </li><li>Optional pre-tax benefits available, including flexible spending accounts for childcare, healthcare and transportation </li></ul> <p>Salary</p> <ol> <li>Starting Minimum Salary: $55,000.00 </li></ol> <p>How to Apply</p> <p>All interested candidates should apply directly through the LEAP University Academy Charter School, Camden, NJ website in the "Careers" section: http://www.leapacademycharter.org/careers.html</p> <p>Sign on bonus of $10,000.00 additional requirements apply</p>
