<p>Description</p> <p>The Senior Behavioral Health Unit is a 15-bed inpatient psychiatric unit that specializes in treating elderly patients with mental illness. Diagnoses include depression, anxiety, suicide attempts, bipolar and schizophrenia. You will work directly with a hands-on care team that includes registered nurses and mental health technicians, and the extended care team includes a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioner, social worker, and recreational therapist.</p> <p>The Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN) is responsible to assist with nursing care of the patient, within an assigned patient care unit. Working under the direction of the physician and/or RN, the LPN provides a variety of patient care, environmental and equipment related services including but not limited to: medication administration, assisting with patient care, observing and documenting illness and/or injury, patient room restocking and maintaining equipment.
