<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Buyer I who will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services for our company. In this position, you will be expected to research potential vendors, and ensure timely delivery of goods. Your role will be critical in maintaining our inventory levels and ensuring that we are getting the best possible prices for the products we need.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods and services. </li><li>Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. </li><li>Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste. </li><li>Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. </li><li>Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. </li><li>Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices. </li><li>Resolve any vendor discrepancies (regarding quality or billing issues) and ensure prompt payment of vendors. </li><li>Complete customer feedback and non-conformance forms as required </li><li>Identify all ITAR/EAR projects and/or customers. </li><li>Keeps informed of Federal Register notices and informs relevant personnel about updates and changes as appropriate. </li><li>Review, prioritize, schedule, and expedite the delivery of material components. Maintain strong supplier relationships to improve delivery, quality, and service of suppliers. Manage ERP-relevant item master data such as lead time, ROP, and ROQ. </li><li>Develop and implement inventory reduction projects. </li><li>Perform related tasks and duties assigned by manager. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <p>To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education:</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or equivalent degree</p> </li><li> <p>Experience:</p> </li><li> <p>At least 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, operations, or materials management position with an understanding of production and inventory control techniques and systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience using ERP systems and applications in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have experience with Microsoft office applications, specifically in Excel.</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Strong systems/process orientation with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Must have a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks. </li><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and coworkers. </li><li>Excellent project management and follow-up skills. </li></ul>
