The technician comprehends and adheres to standard operating procedures.</p> <p>Upon completion of successful training within first 12 months, capable of:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Loading and unloading of processors</p> </li><li> <p>Embedding of routine tissue samples</p> </li><li> <p>Maintenance of tissue processors</p> </li><li> <p>Retrieving and filing of blocks and slides</p> </li><li> <p>Transportation of specimens and paperwork</p> </li><li> <p>Printing and or completing Histoweb worksheets</p> </li><li> <p>Quality Control documentation</p> </li><li> <p>Recognizes and reports problems and or discrepancies</p> </li><li> <p>Following safety procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Utilizes Histoweb / computer applications</p> </li><li> <p>Operates printers, stainer or coverslippers</p> </li><li> <p>Inventory / supply storage and management</p> </li><li> <p>Other related duties as assigned</p> </li></ol> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma with successful completion of high school courses in biology, chemistry and math. </li></ul> <p>Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>No experience required. Three months in a laboratory environment, surgical pathology, or related education/lab exposure preferred. </li><li>Authorization to Work in the United States: Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position. </li></ul> <p>Salary Range: Minimum 17.82/hour - Maximum 29.43/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
