<p>Position Title</p> <p>Director, Annual Giving & Development Communications</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Purpose & Scope:</p> <p>The Director of Annual Giving & Development Communications is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive annual giving program for gifts under $25,000, including donor acquisition, retention, upgrades, and affinity-based fundraising. The Director serves as the primary liaison to the VHC Health Marketing department for development-related communications and digital fundraising initiatives. This position is directly accountable for annual philanthropic revenue, donor pipeline growth, and systemwide employee giving. Over time, the Director will build and manage staff supporting annual giving and development communications.</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or fundraising certification preferred.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 7 years progressive fundraising experience with demonstrated annual giving results; healthcare or hospital foundation experience strongly preferred. </li><li>Proven experience managing multi-channel direct response fundraising and digital engagement. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to collaborate with marketing, communications, and stewardship functions. </li><li>Strong planning, analytical, and segmentation skills; data-informed decision making required. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Familiarity with planned giving vehicles and donor pipeline development preferred. </li></ul> <p>Certification/Licensure:</p> <p>None required.</p>
