<p>The Caldwell YMCA opened its doors on October 27, 2005. Since that time it has become a hallmark of the community, impacting the lives of thousands of kids and families. Facility amenities include a large cardio and weight floor, full-court basketball gym, three fitness studios, and a state-of-the-art aquatics center including a lap-pool, splash pad, pretzel slide, and lazy-river.</p> <p>The Membership Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of membership engagement, retention, and transactional activities.</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>This is a Temporary Part-Time position for 3-6 months averaging 20 hours weekly. The schedule requirements is Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 1:00pm.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Engage potential new members by performing cause-driven interviews and tours, explaining the benefits of the Y, and effectively enrolling new members to support them in meeting the seven cause measurement goals. </li><li>Develop intentional relationships and serve as point of contact for existing members, perform retention activities, and perform cancellation recovery while using discretion and the Y voice attributes. </li><li>Review and accurately process membership financial assistance applications. </li><li>Maintain accurate account status for all membership units including invoices, bank drafts, cancellations, and status changes while preserving confidentiality. </li><li>Assist Welcome Center staff by answering phones, responding to questions, and carrying out additional duties as needed. </li><li>Work closely with the Director to ensure department operations are consistent with approved Leading Practices. </li><li>Explains the benefits of YMCA memberships and effectively enrolls new members. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in customer service, sales, or related experience. </li><li>Basic math and computer skills. </li><li>Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome. </li><li>Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations. </li><li>Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others. </li></ul> <p>Welcoming and Inclusion:</p> <p>At the Y, we welcome everyone whose behavior adheres to our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
