<p>As part of UVU's Patron Services team, you will help ensure a seamless and positive experience for all visitors by supporting the daily functions of the box office. You'll assist with ticket sales, provide responsive customer service, manage lost and found activities, and help reconcile daily financial deposits. Guided by the Patron Services Manager, you'll develop practical skills in customer relations, financial accuracy, and operational efficiency.</p> <p>This role provides a meaningful opportunity to contribute to UVU's vibrant arts and events community while building your experience in a supportive, student- and employee-centered environment. It's a great match for applicants who enjoy fast-paced work, clear processes, and direct interaction with patrons.</p> <ul> <li>Under the direction of the Patron Services Manager, assist with the daily operations of the box office, supervise the box office staff and student employees in carrying out their daily tasks, such as answering phone calls, greeting customers, assisting walk-up customers, processing orders, and performing other data entry tasks. </li><li>Provide backend support for the ticketing system, create new events, update existing events, maintain customer records, and ensure consistent performance data across digital platforms, including AudienceView, OneNote, Live, etc. </li><li>Monitor and manage the main Patron Services email account, ensuring timely and professional responses to patron inquiries. Assist with crowd management during events by coordinating with front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth patron flow and addressing any issues that arise. Assist with the daily box office schedule, trainings, and lost and found operations. </li><li>Perform other job-related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Graduation with a high school diploma or GED and one year of work experience related to the summary of duties. </p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Experience in customer service and event management is preferred. Knowledge</p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge in box office operations, ticketing systems, and proper customer service.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of conflict de-escalation techniques and practices.</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Skill in data entry.</p> </li><li> <p>Skill in basic computer operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Skill in supervising others.</p> </li></ul> <p>Abilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to provide a positive customer service experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.</p> </li></ul>
