For more information, visit www.onetimessquare.com</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY AND DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE WORK:</p> <p>The Vice President of Finance at One Times Square oversees financial strategy, budgeting, reporting, and compliance. This position ensures fiscal responsibility, drives financial performance, and provides strategic recommendations to maximize profitability. The VP of Finance reports to the SVP of Finance with a dotted line to the EVP for One Times Square.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Financial Strategy & Planning </li><li>Accounting & Compliance </li><li>Operational Oversight </li><li>Risk Management & Controls </li><li>Management and Financial Analysis </li></ul> <p>The VP of Finance for One Times Square will develop and maintain finance policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures to ensure financial integrity and compliance. The candidate will oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to guide business decisions, evaluate revenue-generating opportunities, and provide strategic financial recommendations for maximizing profitability at One Times Square. The position will also manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions to ensure compliance with all regulations.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:</p> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 12 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience, preferably within the hospitality, travel, tourism, or real estate industries. </li></ul> <p>Other:</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual or multilingual preferred. </li></ul> <p>JOB FUNCTIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and WORKING CONDITIONS</p> <p>Regular attendance in conformity with standard working hours is imperative to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the travel and tourism industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the needs of the attractions and other businesses.</p> <p>Employees must comply fully with the company rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the attractions and other businesses. The physical demand requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. Walking and standing are required for a portion of the day, including walking the entire attraction. The length of time these tasks take may vary from day to day.</p> <p>The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and demonstrate that he or she can perform the job's essential functions.</p> <p>Communication & Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting. </li><li>Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff. </li><li> <p>Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.</p> </li><li>The ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. </li><li>The ability to effectively listen and respond to internal and external people. </li><li>Have a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, financial management software (e.g. MRI), and data visualization tools. </li><li>Write clear, concise, and focused email messages and reports. </li></ul> <p>Leadership and Other Skills</p> <ul> <li>The ability to assess problems and seek viable solutions. </li><li>Consistently track issues and ensure follow-up and due diligence. </li><li>Demonstrate integrity and personal responsibility, take initiative, and seek new challenges. </li><li>The ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet strict deadlines. </li><li>Be flexible and work independently and proactively. </li><li>Ability to manage time effectively and be results-oriented. </li><li>The ability to work cooperatively and maintain a positive attitude. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li><li>Travel and special events outside the standard business hours may be required. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
