<p>Summary: This position is responsible for organizing, supervising and directing the Materials Handling group engaged in receiving, issuing and delivering supplies and equipment.</p> <p>Essential Functions of the Job: The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:</p> <ul> <li>Manage, hire, lead, motivate and train the Material Handling Department in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Exhibit confidence in self and staff. Resolve interdepartmental issues, accept feedback and give recognition. </li><li>Schedule and expedite open material requisitions. Follow up on deliveries with the Warehouse, Planning and Purchasing Departments. </li><li>Ensure that receipt and distribution of product occurs in an accurate and timely manner. </li><li>Work with other department personnel, such as Production, Quality and Engineering to rectify defective or unacceptable goods. </li><li>Arrange for disposal of surplus material. </li><li>Use the following software programs when performing this job: Shop Floor Control, CAD, MRP II, Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word. </li><li>Ensure personnel comply with departmental policies and procedures to support the manufacturing process. </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Recommended Education and/or Experience</p> <p>Associates Degree in Manufacturing Technology with a minimum four years related experience.</p>
