Click here for more information on compensation for these roles. </li><li>In addition to competitive compensation, DPS has other Total Reward offerings such as; time off, health and wellness benefits, and PERA Retirement. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Develops and delivers leveled professional development opportunities for teachers and district leaders ranging from the beginner to the advanced levels </li><li>Works with leadership and teachers to understand culture, building and district goals in order to focus on closing the student achievement gap through embedded instructional technology to support all learners in the classroom and improve instruction around technology </li><li>Aligns academics departments to core values of integrating Artificial Intelligence into instruction through collaborative and iterative learning and knowledge sharing; leading collaboration across academics will also yield AI-integrated content-specific professional learning sessions hosted by specialists in each department instruction </li><li>Carries out research within the DPS community to inform pathways for professional learning, development of resources, partnerships, and purchases </li><li>Builds the capacity of instructional specialists to provide transformative professional development and student learning experiences and remain on the forefront of culturally and linguistically sustaining pathways for AI-integrated education </li><li>Launches and leads Student AI Council to include student perspective in effective classroom use </li><li>Stays informed of the best, most current digital resources and tools that support best first instruction and technology </li><li>Engages DPS families to support community-wide AI literacy, and involve them as key stakeholders in decision-making processes and recommendations on AI use </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree - Education or a Technology Field - Required </li><li>Master's Degree -Educational Technology - Preferred </li><li>Three (3+) plus years in educational Technology and at least Three (3) years of classroom experience - Required </li><li>Three (3+) plus years experience in planning and managing the complexity of educational technology in school settings - Required </li><li>Three (3+) plus years experience working with students and adults on technology and technology issues, especially in urban schools and with urban school populations - Required </li><li>Valid Colorado teacher or principal license - Required </li><li>Knowledge with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook </li><li>Effective time management and organizational skills </li><li>Effective communication skills </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li><li>Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines </li><li>The ability to take responsibility for one's own performance </li><li>Work collaboratively with others on a team </li><li>Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and fast-paced environment </li><li>Experience in planning and managing the complexity of educational technology in school settings </li><li>Positive experience in using technology in urban schools & with urban school populations </li><li>Experience working with students and adults on technology and technology issues </li><li>Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education. </li><li>Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us. </li><li>Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position. </li></ul> <p>Denver Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender expression, and sexual orientation), parental status, national origin, age, disability, genetic information (including family medical history), political affiliation, military service, or any other status protected by law or regulations.
