<p>First-Year Evaluator - Admissions</p> <p>Are you someone who likes to work behind the scenes but still play a role in the bigger picture? How about putting that energy into supporting student recruitment at a leading higher education institution?</p> <p>If you enjoy analyzing data to drive decision-making and have an interest in guiding and advising prospective students on the admissions process - the First-Year Evaluator position with the Office of Admissions at the University of Iowa may be the role for you!</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL DO:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate and process first-year student applications to determine if admission requirements are met. Click here to learn more about the Office of Admissions at the University of Iowa</p> <p>To be successful in this role YOU BRING:</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience or expertise. </li><li>Some experience (typically 6 months to 1 year) working with high school or undergraduate students in an advising or counseling capacity </li><li>Some (typically 6 months - 1 year) administrative or program experience, or multiple related internships for a recent college graduate. </li><li>Demonstrates a basic proficiency level in: </li><li>Sound business ethics and consistently adheres to and promotes the values and principles in all business and personal transactions. </li><li>Knowledge of and the ability to analyze data fully and accurately to reach productive decisions. </li><li>Knowledge and application of the communication techniques and relationship building skills that develop the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. </li><li>Demonstrates a working proficiency level in: </li><li>The knowledge and proficiency of commonly used office support software including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience evaluating admission applications, materials, including evaluation of credit and academic records. </li><li>Demonstrates a basic knowledge of and ability to use uAchieve and Transferology </li><li>Demonstrates a working knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>APPLY!</p> <p>To be eligible for consideration, applicants must upload BOTH of the following and mark them each as a "Relevant File" to the job submission:</p> <ul> <li>a current resume </li><li>a cover letter </li></ul> <p>Job openings are posted for a minimum of 14 calendar days and may be removed from posting and filled any time after the original posting period has ended.
