No VP Area U of U Health - Academics Department 00952 - Division of Epidemiology Location Campus City Salt Lake City, UT Type of Recruitment External Posting Pay Rate Range Close Date 01/09/2026 Priority Review Date (Note - Posting may close at any time) Job Summary</p> <p>This position is within the Division of Epidemiology's Program for Addiction Research, Clinical Care, Knowledge and Advocacy (PARCKA). PARCKA is an interdisciplinary team aiming to improve the lives of those affected by substance use. This position is part-time (up to 20 hours per week) and generally on-site at our office in Research Park on the University of Utah campus. This position is currently funded for the spring semester, with the possibility of extension through the summer semester.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Proactively contact enrolled participants at designated time points and complete structured assessments over the phone. </li><li>Maintain study blinding to participants' randomized arm. </li><li>Accurately document interactions and ensure compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements. </li><li>May be required to obtain a notary license and notarize study-related forms. </li><li>May travel to a variety of sites both within and outside the University campus to obtain data </li><li>Evaluates questionnaires for accuracy and completeness, reviews questionnaires against source documents and edits as needed. Contacts study participants by phone to verify data. </li><li>Conduct safety and mental-health screenings with study participants and complete all required documentation and follow-up procedures. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Current University of Utah graduate student. </li><li>Strong communication skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to protocol requirements. </li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and REDCap preferred. </li><li>Comfortable discussing medical and mental-health conditions with participants and responding with professionalism and sensitivity. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Current University of Utah graduate student who is supported on the Tuition Benefit Program</p> <p>Preferences Special Instructions Summary Additional Information</p> <p>The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems ("URS").
