<p>Description</p> <p>SCHEDULE: 40 hours, Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; This position is part of program leadership and as such, some weekend, evening, and other hours outside of a regular business schedule may be required to meet program needs. This position is not essential in the event of an emergency impacting program operations.</p> <p>Location: 444 Harrison Street, Boston MA or TBD, and remote work at home pursuant to remote work policies</p> <p>Summary of the Position:</p> <p>Reporting to the Senior Director of Housing Placement, the Director of Pre-Placement Housing Services provides leadership and oversight to the Pine Street Inn's teams working with guests in shelter to resolve their homelessness. This role oversees the Place Me Home contract with support from the Director of Quality Improvement. While upholding the Inn's mission and values, the position ensures that PSI housing placement programs are operating to support achievement of housing goals and outcomes, while staying within compliance of all contracts. The position requires close collaboration between key internal and external partners. The Director of Pre-Placement Housing Services serves as a key collaborator with the Director of Quality Improvement & the Director of Housing Search and Stabilization for current projects and those under development to achieve PSI's strategic plan goals. .</p> <p>The Director of Pre-Placement Housing Services functions as a member of the housing placement leadership team and participates in all management-level meetings, including program working group and department meetings. This position remains responsive, adaptive, and supportive across the department, leading and co-leading projects as assigned. This Director monitors contract compliance and investigates issues of noncompliance, designs internal controls, identifies areas for improvement, and uses data to inform recommendations & decisions. The Director assists in designing and re-engineering workflows in consultation with the Senior Director of Housing Placement and other department leadership. This Director helps to formalize channels of communication and issue-ownership within the division to support accountability and improved outcomes. The Director ensures that supervisory and direct care staff are well trained in their roles and identifies areas for ongoing growth and improvement for the team.</p> <p>The successful person in this position will lead a change management messaging process, in collaboration with the Directors of Housing Placement and Emergency Shelters, ensuring program staff at all levels inspire a belief in housing for every guest served in the emergency shelters.</p> <p>The chosen candidate will have demonstrable experience in successfully driving change within a human services setting, preferably in homeless services. Additionally, the position requires strong clinical and analytical/critical thinking competencies as well as significant experience in program development, contracts and compliance, and data management.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education/Training:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher in Behavioral Science, or 5+ years of experience in management roles. </li></ul> <p>Please note - All credentials and licensures will be reviewed annually as part of the PSI credentialing process.</p> <p>Knowledge/Experience:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of five (5) years of program administration in a human service and nonprofit environment </li><li>Highly developed leadership, analytical, and organizational skills </li><li>An excellent communicator and the ability to understand different communication and learning styles </li><li>Experience working with people who are homeless, formerly homeless or economically disadvantaged </li><li>Experience and sensitivity in working with people who struggle with co-occurring disorders, trauma, and physical illness </li><li>Working knowledge of evidenced-based practices, specifically Housing First, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care and Harm Reduction </li><li>Experience working in homeless service organization with multiple Federal, State, & City contracts </li><li>Ability to balance competing priorities and make independent judgments and decisions </li><li>Demonstrate creativity in program planning and demonstrate experience in program implementation </li><li>Knowledge of state and federal Confidentiality/HIPAA regulations </li><li>Knowledge of Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office Applications. </li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to the Pine Street Inn's Vision and Mission </li></ul>
