<p>Our client is a private real estate and development company in Orlando who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team.</p> <p>Salary/Hourly Rate:</p> <p>$70k - $90k</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Senior Accountant will provide general accounting support in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Corporate Accounting Manager in performing variance analyses and financial statements. </li><li>Record daily cash activity and complete daily bank reconciliations. </li><li>Record financial transactions via journal entries, including the month-end close process. </li><li>Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with customers on outstanding balances. </li><li>Prepare, post, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. </li><li>Perform moderately complex analyses and assist in preparation of monthly account reconciliations in support of the financial statements. </li><li>Assist the company/organization in establishing and maintaining internal controls and accounting best practices. </li><li>Perform other duties that are needed to support the accounting department. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience. </li><li>Experience in a multi-entity, intercompany transactional environment. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Excel. </li><li>Desire to grow in responsibility as the company grows. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in property management and real estate highly preferred. </li><li>Experience with various property management accounting systems. </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Medical. </li><li>Dental. </li><li>Vision. </li><li>PTO. </li><li>Holidays. </li></ul>
