In this role, you will be a key member of the Hospitalist team, providing high-quality, timely care to patients across the hospital. It is a full-time position, rotating 12-hour shifts, on a 3, 3, 4-night schedule.</p> <ul> <li> <p></p> </li><li>Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and delivering treatment within the APP scope of practice. <p></p> </li><li> <p>Develop and manage diagnostic and treatment plans, such as ordering labs, imaging, consults, referrals, and prescribing medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans, evaluating physiological and behavioral responses and collaborating closely with attending physicians and clinical staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to urgent clinical issues and perform approved procedures aligned with demonstrated competencies and hospital-approved privileges.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in interdisciplinary team activities, including unit meetings, family conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and administrative committees as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Why Choose Yale New Haven Health?</p> <p>Excellent work environment?- Flexible schedules to ensure work-life balance. Intriguing cities with something for everyone, whether you love arts, history, parks or delicious food.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>EDUCATION</p> <ul> <li>Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or an accredited Physician Assistant Program. </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Clinical working experience as an NP/PA in the specialty/service line is preferred but not required. </li><li>APRNs and Pas must be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS hospital and go through the Medical Staff credentialing process. To be eligible, evidence of current competence to practice as an APRN or PA must be provided.
