<p>This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.</p> <p>Eastside Middle School is looking for a special education instructional health assistant for the 2025-26 school year. In this position, you will assist students with special education services within a resource classroom and in the general education classroom. As part of a team, candidates would be responsible for collaborating with and assisting teachers and instructional assistants.</p> <p>The position is available for 6.25 hours per day and 183 days per year.</p> <p>(170 instructional days, 4 holidays, 7 planning days and 2 extended days)</p> <p>Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.</p> <p>(Considered full time with benefits - see below)</p> <ul> <li>Must have 48 semester hours, an Associates Degree or have a high school diploma and have passed the paraeducator assessment exam. Must provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire. </li></ul> <p>The salary will be based on the 2025-2026 Board approved salary schedule.</p> <p>2024-2025 Pay Scale</p> <p>Step 0: $15.59</p> <p>Step 10: $19.19</p> <p>New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)</p> <p>Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by the number of reamining paychecks.
