Your Superpowers at Helia)</p> <p>As an RN, you'll help ensure our residents receive the highest level of care while leading and guiding our LPNs and CNAs with confidence and kindness.</p> <p>Your days may include:</p> <p>Making sure resident care is delivered according to top-notch standards of practice.</p> <ul> <li>Observing, assessing, documenting, and communicating any changes in resident conditions-because details matter. </li><li>Administering medications and treatments like the clinical pro you are. </li><li>Receiving, transcribing, and carrying out physician orders accurately. </li><li>Implementing and evaluating care plans that support residents' wellness and comfort. </li><li>Keeping equipment and supplies organized-and letting leadership know when restocking is needed. </li><li>Updating your team at the start of each shift and staying looped in with them throughout the day. </li><li>Directing CNAs to ensure resident care is performed safely, respectfully, and per policy. </li><li>Rounding with CNAs before the end of your shift to ensure everything is in order. </li><li>Passing along helpful, thorough information to oncoming staff so each shift can shine. </li><li>Completing assessments like admissions, pain evaluations, and other required documentation. </li><li>Advocating for residents to remain comfortable and pain-free-because comfort is care. </li><li>Ensuring incident/accident reporting is completed fully, accurately, and in accordance with policy. </li><li>Promptly notifying physicians and families of significant changes in resident health. </li><li>Pitching in with light housekeeping or maintenance when needed to maintain a clean, safe environment. </li><li>Helping evaluate and coach team members respectfully and fairly. </li><li>Performing frequent rounds to ensure the facility stays tidy, odor-free, and welcoming. </li><li>Serving as a supportive team leader and role model. </li><li>Understanding and upholding the facility abuse policy-and ensuring others do, too. </li><li>Creating an exceptional resident experience with a positive, "how can I help?" attitude. </li><li>Living out Helia's values of compassion, responsiveness, teamwork, courtesy, personalized care, and "being nice matters." </li><li>Maintaining consistent and reliable attendance. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>This position is hands-on, people-centered, and fast-paced. You may: </li><li>Occasionally encounter body fluids, airborne particles, fumes, or chemicals. </li><li>Communicate regularly via phone, written documentation, and face-to-face conversations. </li><li>Experience moderate noise levels. </li><li>Sit occasionally, but often move, reach, bend, and use your hands throughout the shift. </li><li>Lift or move up to 50 pounds when needed. </li><li>Use a computer or phone for extended periods with multiple types of vision demands. </li><li>We'll make reasonable accommodations whenever needed. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>What You Bring</p> <ul> <li>A current, valid Illinois Registered Nurse license. </li><li>Education and/or experience in long-term care, acute care, or geriatric nursing preferred. </li><li>Supervisory experience is a plus! </li><li>Strong communication skills-written, verbal, and interpersonal. </li><li>No disqualifying criminal offenses (per regulatory guidelines). </li><li>Ability to read and interpret journals, professional materials, policies, and regulations. </li><li>Ability to write nursing notes, reports, and procedures clearly. </li><li>Ability to confidently interact with leadership, residents, families, physicians, and the public. </li><li>Continuing Education </li><li>We're big believers in learning and growth! You'll: </li><li>Attend in-services and educational programs. </li><li>Complete any CE needed to maintain certification or licensure. </li><li>Join seminars that help you stay current with nursing practice. </li><li>Complete Silver Chair in-services on time. </li></ul> <p>Salary Description</p> <p>$36.00 - $51.00 / hourly</p>
