<p>SEASONAL LABORER</p> <p>Westwood Department of Public Works</p> <p>Several openings available for summer employment with Westwoods Department of Public Works! This is a great opportunity to assist a busy Westwood Public Works Team with maintaining and safeguarding the Towns infrastructure. This is a 40-hour per week seasonal position, however, qualified candidates with part-time availability will be considered. The position requires a work commitment from mid-May through approximately the end of August.</p> <p>Representative Duties Include:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting with construction and maintenance projects, such as: Repairing and patching street and sidewalks; rebuilding catch basins; cutting grass, weed whacking, raking leaves, trimming brush and trees; and collecting refuse along highways. </li><li>Operating light dump trucks and pickup trucks; hauling gravel, dirt, sand and other materials; loading/unloading materials. </li><li>Operating jackhammer, small roller, roadside mower. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Experience: High School education or equivalent preferred. Ability to perform heavy manual labor under varying weather conditions. Massachusetts motor vehicle license required.</p> <p>Schedule requirements: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. from mid-May through late August.</p> <p>Salary and Benefits: This is a seasonal, non-benefit position with a starting hourly rate of $17.60.</p> <p>Please submit resume and brief cover letter.
