<p>POSITION OVERVIEW:</p> <p>The Support Associate is responsible for, but not limited to, providing the daily support to the distribution Support associates with varied levels of responsibilities and job functions. The Support Associate is expected to clearly and thoroughly communicate job day to day functions and maintain high levels of accountability and follow through working with their supervisor. The Support Associate is responsible for safety, quality, departmental efficiency, customer service, sanitation, weekly meetings, and any other related Support activity within the departments.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Communicates the compliance of all safety/work rules in the department </li><li>Operating powered industrial equipment such as but not limited to electric pallet jacks </li><li>Distinguishing between damaged and salvageable product </li><li>Communicates immediately to management any deviation to acceptable practices </li><li>Responds to spills, dropped pallets, damaged product that would necessitate an adjustment to inventory and ensures a real-time change is made to the counts </li><li>Ability to work with supervisor to evaluate the performance of assigned associates delivering positive and /or negative feedback, addressing any short comings </li><li>Spend 70% of their time on the floor maintaining a strong floor presence, enhancing morale and ensuring a positive work environment </li><li>Replacing returned customer product back to its original pick slot - damage-free </li><li>Proper allocation of all salvageable products </li><li>Scanning damaged cases out of inventory using RF hand-held devices </li><li>Repairing, repacking or properly short-packing any compromised products in need of repair </li><li>Scanning all repaired/repacked cases back into inventory using RF hand-held devices </li><li>Reading and understanding selection labels, slot identification codes, and product descriptions to be able to process products accordingly </li><li>Properly stacking products on pick slot pallets in a damage-free manner following the interlocking case method </li><li>Stacking overflow products in the aisle on appropriate pallets </li><li>Securing all completed pallets with shrink wrap for shipment </li><li>Documenting all products processed accurately, clearly, and in a timely manner </li><li>Communicates any problems to other members of management that are caused by personnel, damage, or equipment opportunities, consistently and in a respectful and appropriate manner. </li><li>Flexibility needed to work in multiple environments </li><li>Flexibility to work various or additional shifts, as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidays </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by leadership </li></ul> <p>Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Warehouse Grocery - approx. 50F - 90F </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Wednesday 11:00pm - 5:00am </li><li>Thursday, Friday & Saturday 5:00pm - 5:00am </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Preferred: One (1) years experience - distribution, warehouse or relevant experience </li><li>Preferred: MHE experience (Electric pallet jacks such as center riders or long forks; forklifts) </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies to all associates; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift </li><li>Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; the ability to operate required material handling equipment - getting on and off equipment throughout shift </li><li>Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis </li><li>Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines </li><li>Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality </li><li>Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives </li></ul> <p>Other details</p> <ul> <li>Job Family Operations </li><li>Job Function Operations </li><li>Pay Type Hourly </li></ul> <p>Apply Now</p> <ul> <li>275 Schoolhouse Rd, Cheshire, CT 06410, USA </li></ul>
