<p>Reuters is seeking a Weekend Producer, Packaged Video (Level 1 Journalist) to maintain a continuous file of packaged video late in the week and for weekend coverage during the U.S. West Coast time zone. You will be producing multiple short form videos from breaking news to in-depth coverage of major global events for agency clients and for Reuters digital and social platforms.</p> <p>The Weekend Producer will be an essential link between packaged video colleagues in EMEA, the Americas and Asia. Applicants should have considerable experience as a journalist, video editor, and possess solid news judgement. This role involves some in-office working in Los Angeles on a hybrid schedule, and reports into the North America Chief Producer of Packaged Video.</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>As Weekend Producer, Packaged Video, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Write, edit, and deliver video content including soundbites, captioned video and explainers </li><li>Respond to consumer and client coverage requests </li><li>Coordinate closely with text and visuals newsgathering teams globally </li><li>Edit scripts and quality control/check completed videos before release for fellow producers. </li><li>Ensure your work is accurate, timely and impartial in accordance with Reuters' TRUST Principles </li><li>Work a schedule spanning Wednesday through Sunday afternoon and evenings between peak hours for teams in the Eastern U.S. and East Asia.
