<p>Volunteer Coordinator JobID: 547</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Volunteer Coordinator/Volunteer Coordinator</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/27/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>County-Wide</p> <p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>TITLE: Volunteer Coordinator (1 year grant funded - Part Time)</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, Masters Degree is Preferred.</p> <p>Minimum 10 years experience in the K-12 Setting, Principal Experience Preferred.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources</p> <p>SUPERVISES: Volunteers</p> <p>JOB GOAL: Promote good relations between the school and community by</p> <p>determining and implementing the best methods for recruiting,</p> <p>onboarding, managing and coordinating volunteers to meet the</p> <p>needs of the schools.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li>Meets with the school principal or designee to plan ahead for the needs of the </li></ol> <p>school and determine priorities for volunteer recruitment through a needs</p> <p>assessment.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Works with the PTA president, Community School Specialist, principal and </li></ol> <p>teachers to recruit and coordinate volunteer assignments at the school to support</p> <p>student success.</p> <ol start="3"> <li> <p>Is knowledgeable about the volunteer guidelines set by the school district.</p> </li><li> <p>Surveys teachers and staff regarding volunteer needs in the school. Surveys</p> </li></ol> <p>potential volunteers to learn about their talents, interests and skills.</p> <ol start="5"> <li> <p>Holds volunteer orientation meetings and sets measurable goals for volunteers.</p> </li><li> <p>Recruits, trains, and manage volunteers throughout the school year.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates volunteer program success after each event and end of year reporting.</p> </li><li> <p>Distributes volunteer enrollment applications (or interest surveys) to all parents</p> </li></ol> <p>and at school functions.</p> <ol start="9"> <li>Promotes volunteerism through use of the school newsletter to report overall </li></ol> <p>volunteer needs, activity and accomplishments.</p> <ol start="10"> <li>Coordinates the KCPS Community Ambassadors Program designed to support </li></ol> <p>community awareness of the events and highlights of KCPS.</p> <ol start="11"> <li> <p>Supports marketing and promotion of KCPS programming.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides ongoing recognition for all volunteers including appreciation week.</p> </li><li> <p>Tally volunteer hours and enter Excel database.</p> </li><li> <p>Supports the Superintendent on analyzing the impact of the volunteer program</p> </li></ol> <p>and the return on investment.</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-Time Grant Funded position. Duration of employment is contingent on grant funding.</p> <p>SALARY LANE : $30 per hour/29 hours per week for 30 weeks per school year (August-April)</p> <p>FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt</p> <p>EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.</p>
