Official start date is August 26, 2025.</p> <p>Hours: Monday-Friday, 6.25 hours per day. Paraeducators work 180 student days and report to work the day before students return to school in August</p> <p>Salary and Benefits: In accordance with the bargaining unit contract. Full benefits.</p> <p>Requirements/Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Two years college experience OR high school diploma with evidence of having passed the ParaPro exam</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with children</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work with the literacy specialist:</p> </li><li> <p>assisting with reading/writing assignments and providing reading/writing interventions</p> </li><li> <p>working with small groups regarding reading</p> </li><li> <p>supporting students in ILA classrooms under the direction of the specialist</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all student information</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate with and relate well to adolescents</p> </li><li> <p>Good organizational skills</p> </li><li> <p>Flexibility</p> </li><li> <p>Google and/or computer proficiency preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Applications will only be accepted online at the District's Web site: www.er9.org.
