<p>Responsibilities Summary:</p> <p>The 6-12 Art Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering high-quality visual arts instruction aligned with the Indiana Academic Standards for Visual Arts. The teacher will develop engaging lessons that build students' artistic skills, creative thinking, and visual literacy while guiding them through the processes of creating, presenting, responding to, and connecting with works of art. Instruction should support student growth in a variety of media and techniques while encouraging problem-solving, artistic expression, and an appreciation of art across cultures and time periods.</p> <p>The teacher will assess student learning using standards-based practices, provide meaningful feedback, and maintain a classroom environment that promotes creativity, collaboration, and respect for artistic work. Additional responsibilities include maintaining art materials and studio safety, displaying and celebrating student artwork, collaborating with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning, and communicating student progress with families and school staff.</p> <p>Qualifications Summary:</p> <p>Candidates must hold a valid Indiana teaching license. A license in Visual Arts (K-12) is preferred.
