<p>WARTBURG COLLEGE</p> <p>Title of Position - Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions</p> <p>Function of Position:</p> <p>Responsible to the Executive Director of Admissions for assisting and advising students through recruitment in the specific geographic territory of Illinois with specific emphasis on Chicago metro and the top 1/3 of the state with a focus on McCaskey scholarship recruitment. This position will be considered a remote position in Illinois or on-campus, depending on the candidate's experience and preference.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Recruit prospective first-year students; maintain contact with applicants; conduct college fairs and high school visits for assigned territory; research the potential for and plan travel in specific territory; develop a proposal for activities to serve the territory, initiating contacts with high school counselors, alumni, parents of prospective students, and cultivate relationships; coordinate out-of-state recruitment with non-Iowa counselors for guidance and territory strategy. (40%) </li><li>Coordinate the McCaskey Scholarship initiative by identifying candidates, conducting outreach events and interviews, selecting recipients, and communicating with the donors. (20%) </li><li>Assist the Admissions CRM and Communication Strategist in the coordination of the Slate communication and marketing strategy. (25%) </li><li>Work with the Executive Director of Admissions to identify Community Based Organizations for partnerships to recruit a variety of students to Wartburg, based on the enrollment plan of the College. (5%) </li><li>Prepare and monitor budget for territory (10%) </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>BA and strong communication skills. Must be self-motivated, willing to travel extensively and work evenings and weekends; ability to plan and organize multiple projects; capacity to relate well to diverse backgrounds; ability to articulate the value of a liberal arts education; enthusiasm, energy, creativity and humor. Prefer experience in admissions, high school/college counseling, or marketing/public relations; Spanish proficiency would be a preferred skill.</p> <p>Prefer Master's degree and minimum of 5 years of related professional supervisory and administrative experience.
