<p>Summary: Assists the IT Director in service and repair of personal computers, servers, user support, and other communication equipment.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Sets up hardware including PCs, monitors, printers, phones, and any other device on the network. </li><li>Provides support for software, PCs, printers, and related systems. </li><li>Images new systems for both desktops and laptops. </li><li>Maintains the Helpdesk Software and Change logs within Helpdesk software. </li><li>Supports users with file archiving. </li><li>Analyzes and help resolves technical problems for established networks. </li><li>Maintains network cabling to desktops, including troubleshooting and termination of new and used cabling. </li><li>Maintains wireless access points and cameras on the network. </li><li>Researches, investigates, and suggests software and hardware that will improve desktop and network uptime. </li><li>Orders and maintains stock of IT consumables. </li><li>Develops documented FAQs, SOP's and a Knowledge Base. </li><li>Maintains documentation on all projects. </li><li>Reports incidents that are unable to be solved. </li></ul> <p>Competency:</p> <p>To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: synthesizes complex or diverse information, demonstrates attention to detail, identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; communicates changes and progress; shares expertise with others; responds promptly to customer needs; responds to requests for service and assistance; responds well to questions; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; able to clearly document issues and steps performed; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events; is consistently at work and on time; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; uses time efficiently; reacts well under pressure; observes safety and security procedures.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <p>Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>Certifications:</p> <p>Either A+, Network+, or IT Fundamentals+ are required.</p> <p>Language Ability:</p> <p>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.</p> <p>Math Ability:</p> <p>Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.</p> <p>Reasoning Ability:</p> <p>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</p> <p>Computer Skills:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the following advanced knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Windows Desktop Operation Systems. </li><li>Microsoft Office. </li><li>Networking, preferably in a Cisco environment. </li><li>Network Cabling. </li></ul> <p>Also, this individual should have basic knowledge of Windows Servers.</p> <p>About Harrison Steel:</p> <p>Harrison Steel is a family owned company that engineers and manufactures castings of 350 to 12,500 pounds, net casting weight, for businesses in industries such as agriculture, mining, and oil and gas.
