This includes performing custodial work and related tasks as required.</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Sharon Center School serves students in grades PreK-8. All employees work as a team in a respectful, caring environment. The school community maintains a positive, welcoming tone. The successful candidate must be friendly, flexible, and helpful toward all co-workers and community members in the building.</p> <p>Specific Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform cleaning tasks such as removing trash, mopping, vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors, dusting, and sanitizing classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, offices, stairways, restrooms, and other school areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and report any heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, plumbing, or other facility issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the building is secure at the end of each evening, including locking doors and windows and activating the security system.</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to any emergencies or security concerns during the shift.</p> </li><li> <p>Set up and take down chairs, tables, and equipment for meetings, events, and assemblies.</p> </li><li> <p>Use a snow blower and shovels to remove snow from entrances and sidewalks as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Custodian, Facilities Manager, or Principal.</p> </li></ul> <p>Hours/Days:</p> <ul> <li>8 hours/day - 12-month position </li><li>Schedule: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM </li><li>Hourly position (non-union) </li></ul> <p>Salary:</p> <ul> <li>$23 - $25 per hour </li><li>Individual employment contract provided annually </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Medical benefits. </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Pension (after one year of employment) </li></ul> <p>Mental/Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow. </li><li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. </li><li>Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and crouch frequently. </li><li>Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (25 - 50 lbs.) safely. </li><li>Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with custodial tasks </li></ul> <p>Application/Interview Procedure:</p> <ul> <li>Apply online at www.region1schools.org.
