<p>Actuarial</p> <p>Sr. Internal Auditor Kansas City Life Insurance Company, a recognized leader in the insurance industry, is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our Audit department. The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>BS Degree in Accounting / Finance </li><li>Designation of Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, or equivalent </li><li>4 or more years public accounting experience or 10 or more years internal audit experience in the Insurance industry </li><li>Analytical and Management skills </li><li>Thorough knowledge of audit and control concepts </li><li>Good oral and written communication skills </li><li>Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position </li></ul> <p>DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assure management that company assets are accounted for and safeguarded from losses through evaluation and implementation of reliable financial and operating controls. </li><li>Ensure General Agencies are in compliance with Company policies and procedures through annual agency audits, and to coordinate and direct the department's agency audit effort. </li><li>Perform financial statement audits in conjunction with independent auditors, and coordinate and direct this effort for the department. </li><li>Protect policy owner, agent and Company interests through investigation of fraudulent activities. </li><li>Increase Corporate Value by making recommendations that reduce costs, enhance revenues, or reduce potential future losses. </li><li>Ensure department objectives are achieved by assisting in the training of Internal Auditors and Audit Assistants. </li><li>Contribute to smooth operations of General Agencies by providing accounting systems training and profitability analysis. </li><li>Upgrade technical skills through participation in outside schools and organizations such as the Institute of Internal Auditors. </li></ul> <p>Kansas City Life Insurance Company offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package.
