Take the next step in your career and apply now!</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications (Grade 15 - Sr Technical Accountant)</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance </li><li>Advanced degree and/or public accounting experience preferred </li><li>Approximately 5 or more years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience </li><li>Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, and general ledger accounting </li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills </li><li>Proficiency with accounting systems and tools (e.g., Oracle, Excel) </li></ul> <p>Preferred / Advanced Qualifications (Grade 16 - Accounting Adviser)</p> <ul> <li>Approximately 6 or more years of progressive accounting and reporting experience required </li><li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred </li><li>Demonstrated experience leading financial reporting and consolidation processes, as well as cross-functional leadership and project management </li><li>Experience with complex corporate structures, intercompany accounting, and enterprise reporting </li><li>Leadership skills to provide guidance, direction, orientation and instruction </li><li>Ability to influence, advise, and partner with senior leadership </li></ul> <p>Key Competencies (All Levels)</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements </li><li>Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities </li><li>Effective communication and collaboration skills </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines </li><li>Experience working with financial systems and large data sets </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Core Responsibilities (All Levels)</p> <ul> <li>Support the monthly financial reporting cycle and consolidation process for BHE and its subsidiaries </li><li>Prepare and/or review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP </li><li>Maintain general ledger and accounting processes for corporate entities, including intercompany transactions </li><li>Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of information system </li><li>Partner with business units to provide financial information, reporting support, and accounting guidance </li><li>Support reporting requirements for Berkshire Hathaway Inc. and external reporting </li><li>Collaborate with accounting, finance, and systems teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting </li></ul> <p>Additional Responsibilities - Accounting Adviser (Grade 16)</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a technical accounting advisor, providing guidance to leadership and business units </li><li>Review and validate financial results for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across entities </li><li>Drive process improvements and accounting standard implementation across BHE </li><li>Provide leadership on cross-business accounting initiatives and projects </li><li>Support and monitor compliance with internal controls, SOX 404, and ISO 27001 requirements </li></ul>
