These include:</p> <p>Trustworthy - We strive for our actions to match our words in all our relationships.</p> <p>Servant - Hearted - We enable and empower our team to serve the needs of customers, Team members, suppliers, and the community.</p> <p>Relational - We aim to build healthy relationships while fostering an environment that promotes compassion, balance, and personal and professional growth.</p> <p>Resourceful - We value strategic insourcing, first looking to create solutions internally, and then looking to apply that knowledge to future opportunities.</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Performs the shipping and receiving functions as directed including safely handling and transporting raw material, finished goods and miscellaneous supplies including receiving, unloading, staging and shipping of material goods. Supplies the manufacturing teams with raw material and other supplies as needed for production. Responsible for handling finished and unfinished inventory and performing proper warehouse management functions such as scanning, wrapping, stacking labeling and other related warehouse activities.</p> <p>Works with the transfer process regarding unloading and loading trailers, put away, audits, scanning, layout compliance, wrapping, stacking, collecting damaged product, labeling, and other related activities as they pertain to finished and unfinished inventory and housekeeping.</p> <p>SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY:</p> <ul> <li>Safely load and unload trailers from third-party vendors and carriers in accordance with required SCT Safety Procedures and policies while consistently inspecting quality, quantity, and condition of all shipments; record activity as instructed in inventory system or by completion of paperwork. </li><li>Consistently engage in proactive safety behaviors to identify safety hazards related to performing your job duties or the job duties of others. </li><li>Load trailers accurately with regard to proper sequence, products, and weight distribution. </li><li>Responsible for safely transferring and storing raw materials, finished goods and supplies to and from the trucks to the warehouse. </li><li>Safely and efficiently transfer and stage materials to the appropriate manufacturing area to supply materials needed for production. </li><li>Safely handle and transfer products from the manufacturing area to the finished goods area. </li><li>Verify all pallets and material received including the information needed for labeling; consistently perform quality checks to identify any discrepancies with the total count of material received; resolve receiving discrepancies or notify Supervisor immediately. </li><li>Ensure pallets are stacked properly at all times; restack pallets that have fallen in the warehouse or during the transfer process. </li><li>Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment in a consistent manner in accordance with SCT forklift training guidelines and SCT Safety Procedures. </li><li>Cross train on related departmental equipment specific to the location such as wrap machine, roll clamp truck, or corrugated sheet machine. </li><li>Perform daily forklift checklist and routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning equipment and audits, report mechanical problems, as well as maintenance or safety issues with your equipment immediately. </li><li>Maintain order in the warehouse storage areas and in accordance with proper inventory layout. </li><li>Maintain the cleanliness of your work areas, keeping them safe swept, clean and free of debris including the completion of daily, weekly, monthly housekeeping responsibilities; ensure work area is clean prior to arrival of incoming shift and in accordance with regulatory requirements. </li><li>Assist with training new or existing team members in accordance with training guidelines and SCT safety procedures. </li><li>Regularly perform routine and daily housekeeping responsibilities in adherence to company safety and regulatory compliance. </li><li>Load the trailers accurately ensuring proper sequence, correct products, and weight distribution. </li><li>Perform administrative functions in Warehouse / Production system including printing packing slips, scanning documents, Bill of Ladings (BOL) and load assignments. </li><li>Participate and actively engage in training to adopt new procedures and technology implemented to increase the efficiency and the safety of the operation. </li><li>Assist department to backfill and support other areas of shipping and warehouse department as needed. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of six months experience and the ability to successfully pass the certification to operate a forklift; one or more years of directly related warehouse, shipping and forklift experience is preferred; must have basic computer skills and possess the ability to utilize software.</p> <p>LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and understand documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, communicate, and understand directions in English as needed.</p> <p>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide both fractions and decimals, solve equations, read a tape measure, and understand both standard and metric measuring systems.</p> <p>CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must become a Certified powered industrial equipment operator in accordance with SCT training.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with arms and hands. Frequently required to climb, balance, twist, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, frequently must lift/move 25 to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform these functions for a minimum of 8 hours straight (with a 30-minute meal break any other applicable breaks during his/her shift) on a regular basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team member successfully performing the essential functions of this job.
