This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing exceptional support to our employees and customers, and creating a positive and welcoming environment.</p> <p>Who You Are:</p> <p>As the driving force behind our Boston office's success, you'll be the go-to person for all things operations. You'll excel in a dynamic environment, balancing independent tasks with teamwork, all while maintaining a keen eye for detail and a commitment to punctuality and reliability.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <p>Front Desk Reception</p> <ul> <li>Primary face behind the front reception desk of our office, greeting and welcoming guests as soon as they arrive, offering a hospitable, warm, and contemporary experience. </li><li>Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email (i.e. direct visitors to the appropriate person and office; may be responsible for monitoring of team shared inbox; answer and screen phone calls and forward incoming messages) </li><li>Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary material organized and in the appropriate place (e.g. pens, forms and brochures) </li><li>Conduct facility tours </li><li>Greet new hires on their first day and support first day orientation logistics (e.g. - room set up, technology, catering, etc.) </li></ul> <p>Office Administration</p> <ul> <li>This is a full-time 100% in-person position located in our Boston, MA office; hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. </li><li>Retrieve, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized office space </li><li>Manage office supplies and equipment </li><li>Support special projects as needed for the team </li><li>Perform other clerical duties as needed </li></ul> <p>Facility & Safety Management</p> <ul> <li>Keep kitchens clean and fully stocked including snacks, drink coolers, cleaning products, and other supplies </li><li>Throughout the day, straighten and stock conference rooms and maintain common areas (includes lowering powered desks, raising and lowering blinds as needed, watering plants) </li><li>Communicate with building management, internal teams, and vendors regarding facility-related requests and issues </li><li>Communicate building safety policies and fire drills </li><li>Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor visitor logbook, may issue employee badges and assist with parking validations) </li><li>Manage the office's lost and found </li><li>May serve as local office First Aid/AED/CPR </li></ul> <p>Communications</p> <ul> <li>May support content of market-wide communications </li><li>May update market SharePoint intranet site and/or Social Media account(s) </li><li>Experience with Canva or other design software a plus </li></ul> <p>Event Support & Execution</p> <ul> <li>Assist with large meetings and securing conference rooms </li><li>Coordinate catering needs (include set up & breakdown) </li><li>Supports planning and execution of internal and external events (may include but not limited to set-up/break down of events, collateral, theme, registration, event website, communications, rooming lists, food & beverage, swag, etc.); occasional overtime may be necessary </li></ul> <p>Performance and Professional Development</p> <ul> <li>Establishes and follows through with annual priorities & goal setting within Workday </li><li>Responsible for regular check-in cadence with people leader </li><li>Actively participates in Office Operations community locally, regionally, and companywide </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in a fast-paced office environment required </li><li>Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Microsoft Teams preferred </li><li>Must possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail </li><li>Professional communicator with strong oral and written communication skills </li><li>Hold a driver's license in good standing and have reliable transportation to/from office space and other event spaces and errands around Boston </li></ul> <p>Vibe Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Works with a sense of urgency without sacrificing quality or accuracy, particularly when under pressure </li><li>See no task as "too small" or "beneath" them </li><li>Demonstrates a deep commitment to our values, fostering a sense of inclusion and belonging for all team members. </li><li>Has a positive attitude and enjoys interacting with people </li><li>Willing to make the impossible possible </li><li>Thrives in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Exemplifies the core value of "Take Ownership & Get it Done" </li><li>Open to Feedback </li></ul> <p>About Us</p> <p>Slalom is a fiercely human business and technology consulting company that leads with outcomes to bring more value, in all ways, always. For this position at the Consultant level the base pay range of $23.08- 32.21 an hour W2. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
