<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>The Dietary Supervisor is responsible for providing residents with quality, affordable meals in a warm, friendly environment while increasing the profitability of Capri Dining Services, LLC. This is a hands-on position that will directly oversee all aspects of culinary services provided to our residents.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li></li><li>Manages meal service in dining areas for residents, guests and for special functions to include set-up, service and clean up. </li><li>Schedules, assigns, trains and manages all wait staff personnel ensuring adequate staffing at all times. </li><li>Supervises serving of meals. </li><li>Accept on call and emergency duties/ responsibilities. </li><li>Make frequent inspections of all work, storage and serving areas to determine and maintain compliance with all policies and procedures governing these areas. </li><li>Recommends change in techniques or procedures governing service areas. </li><li>Coordinate set-up and cleanup of catered functions for residents, guests and staff. </li><li>Address residents dining concerns and attends to resident's needs to facilitate good communication. </li><li>Maintain records of work assignments and menu selection. </li><li>Instructs employees in equipment use and sanitation methods. </li><li>Assures appearance, cleanliness and safety of dining room areas, equipment and fixtures. </li><li>Conducts routine sanitation, safety and maintenance inspections of equipment and work areas and assures compliance with cleaning standards of all food preparation and service areas and affected common areas. </li><li>Interview candidates for hire, conducts performance evaluations, disciplines and recommends promotions, transfer and/or discharge. </li><li>Responsible for the POS being close out properly at the end of the shift in that all tables are entered properly in the software with proper payment. </li><li>Responsible in the POS for updating the menus weekly and theme meals or specials get entered into the system. </li><li>May be asked in implementation of established cost containment procedures. </li><li>May be called to functions as wait staff personnel to insure timely efficient service of residents, guests or staff. </li><li>May be asked to fill in the absence of the Assistant Director of Dining Services. </li><li>Acknowledge, comprehend and support the residents and the Resident Bill of Rights. </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of both residents and staff. </li><li>Comply with the required local, state and federal regulations. </li><li>Attend and participate in committee meetings, trainings, in-services, community events as required. </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li></li><li>A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a food service operation, including six months of supervisory experience. </li><li>Knowledge of quality food service preparation and service techniques and standards. </li><li>Knowledge of state health and safety regulations and requirements. </li><li>Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles. </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate via written or verbal methods. </li><li>Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office - Word and Excel, as well as other industry-related software. </li></ul>
