<p>Job Title:</p> <p>Regional Executive Director</p> <p>Reports To:</p> <p>Superintendent - Executive Team</p> <p>Contract Length:</p> <p>225 Days</p> <p>Primary Role:</p> <p>The Regional Executive Director (RED) serves as the senior instructional and operational leader for a defined geographic region within TMSA's statewide network. In alignment with TMSA's regional growth model-3 clusters, each containing a high school and three K-8 campuses-the RED ensures that all schools within the region deliver exceptional academic outcomes, operational excellence, strong culture, and mission fidelity.</p> <p>This cabinet-level leader supervises principals and regional office staff, drives improvement and alignment across the region, and serves as the Superintendent's primary designee for school performance. While the Central Office manages core logistics (HR, payroll, IT, finance, compliance), the Regional Executive Director oversees the academic, operational, cultural, and instructional execution that including principalship </li><li>Proven track record of improving student achievement and leading high-performing schools </li><li>Experience supervising school leaders or leading multi-school networks strongly preferred </li><li>Deep understanding of curriculum, instruction, STEAM, data-driven decision-making, and school operations </li><li>Knowledge of charter school governance, state accountability systems, and compliance </li><li>Demonstrated experience developing leaders and building strong school cultures </li><li>Strong project management, communication, analytical, and resilience </li></ul> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>REGIONAL LEADERSHIP & STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT</p> <ul> <li>Lead and manage all schools within the region to ensure alignment with TMSA's mission, academic expectations, cultural values, and organizational priorities. </li><li>Serve as the primary link between the Superintendent and regional schools, translating systemwide goals into regional action plans. </li><li>Implement the TMSA strategic framework across the region, including instructional models, growth plans, AI and Signature Academies initiatives, and whole-child support. </li><li>Oversee execution of the annual regional goals established during Board and Admin Retreats. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISION & DEVELOPMENT OF SCHOOL LEADERS</p> <ul> <li>Directly supervise, coach, and evaluate Principals within the region through formal and informal observations, performance reviews, leadership meetings, and ongoing professional guidance. </li><li>Ensure Principals implement data-driven instruction, strong school culture systems, STEAM excellence, and academic interventions. </li><li>Conduct leadership walkthroughs, feedback cycles, and joint observations. </li><li>Support leadership pipeline development through the TMSA Leadership Institute and succession planning. </li></ul> <p>ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE & INSTRUCTIONAL QUALITY</p> <ul> <li>Oversee all academic programming within the region in close partnership with the Regional Director of Academics and Deputy Superintendent of Academics. </li><li>Ensure fidelity to instructional frameworks, Signature Academies, AI initiatives, Pre-AP/AP programs, intervention systems, and data-driven planning. </li><li>Monitor academic data throughout the year to ensure growth and proficiency targets are met. </li><li>Support schools in designing and executing School Improvement Plans. </li><li>Lead regional academic reviews and provide coaching to improve instruction and curriculum alignment. </li></ul> <p>OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT & REGIONAL SUPPORT</p> <ul> <li>Supervise the Regional Director of Operations and ensure all schools maintain high-quality operational systems including safety, facilities, scheduling, transportation coordination, and customer service. </li><li>Ensure regional operations align with central office protocols in HR, finance, IT, purchasing, and compliance. </li><li>Resolve school-level operational issues quickly to maintain continuity of learning. </li><li>Build strong systems and routines across campuses to improve efficiency and consistency. </li></ul> <p>CULTURE, CLIMATE, & COMMUNITY RELATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Uphold and model TMSA's whole-child philosophy, multicultural culture, and character education framework. </li><li>Support Principals in maintaining safe, inclusive, mission-driven school cultures. </li><li>Build strong relationships with families, community partners, civic leaders, and key stakeholders. </li><li>Represent TMSA at major regional events, strategic meetings, and public forums </li></ul> <p>REGIONAL DATA MONITORING & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT</p> <ul> <li>Track academic, operational, financial, and cultural metrics for each school in the region. </li><li>Ensure Principals and regional directors monitor data cycles and take timely action. </li><li>Report regularly to the Superintendent on regional performance, risks, needs, and emerging opportunities. </li></ul> <p>REGIONAL TALENT DEVELOPMENT</p> <ul> <li> <p>Identify, recruit, and develop leadership talent within the region.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee regional PD plans aligned to strategic needs (AI literacy, Signature Academies, data-driven instruction, compliance, school culture, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>Strengthen teacher pipeline programs (e.g., Superintendent and Board with expansion planning, feasibility studies, and regional readiness assessments. </li><li>Support the launch of new schools, including hiring, culture development, academic planning, and community engagement. </li><li>Ensure new campuses open with strong operational foundations and instructional models aligned to TMSA's framework. </li></ul> <p>REGIONAL OFFICE MANAGEMENT</p> <ul> <li>Lead the Regional Office team to ensure high-quality support of all schools. </li><li>Establish and monitor systems for effective communication, accountability, and collaboration among regional leaders. </li><li>Serve as the primary decision-maker for regional matters unless elevated to the Superintendent. </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Serve on the TMSA Executive Leadership Team. </li><li>Participate in systemwide planning, Board Retreats, Admin Retreats, and year-end evaluations. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the
