Our internship opportunities offer bright, highly motivated college students and recent graduates a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the operations of state government while obtaining valuable on-the-job training. As an HR intern, your responsiblities may include the following:</p> <ul> <li>Contributing to recruitment efforts. </li><li>Supporting HR administration functions, including special projects as assigned to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the agency. </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with the HR team to understand and identify areas of process improvement (i.e., onboarding, streamlining processes, etc.). </li><li>Research, compiling, and analyzing HR-related queries and data. </li><li>Maintaining personnel files ensuring compliance with record retention requirements. </li></ul> <p>Applications are accepted year-round. Internships may be paid or unpaid and there is no guarantee of employment.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. </li><li>General knowledge of various employment laws and practices. </li><li>Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of HR work. </li><li>Ability to work independently as well as with others. </li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively. </li><li>Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access...) </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Must be currently enrolled or graduated within the last twelve months from an accredited college or university degree program.
