<p>Hiring a Quality Control Lab Technician for a great winery in Acampo, CA! Please note this is a seasonal opportunity. Looking for someone that has interest in working with wine.</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>As a Quality Control Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our wine production. Your responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Bottling Schedule Review: Conduct QC lab activities and analysis, including label compliance review, lab analysis, ATP testing, bottling QC start-up, and hourly bottling QC checks. </li><li>Pre-Bottling Analysis: Review analysis for pre-bottling conditions and issue work orders to make necessary adjustments to maintain the health and desired style of wine (e.g., SO2, O2, CO2 levels). </li><li>Data Management: Enter, verify, and report wine analysis data, escalating issues to ensure adherence to specification parameters. </li><li>Routine Lab Analysis: Perform routine lab analysis on grapes, juice, must, and wine, including Brix, pH, TA, FSO2, and RS. </li><li>Temperature Monitoring: Record and report tank temperatures daily. </li><li>Sample Collection: Pull daily samples for analysis. </li><li>Additional Duties: Assist with other duties as needed. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Laboratory techniques </li><li>Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) </li><li>Microbiology </li><li>Quality control </li><li>Chemistry </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience: Prior experience working in a lab environment is required; 1-2 years of experience in a wine production facility is preferred. </li><li>Knowledge: Understanding of wine production fundamentals, wine chemistry, lab analysis techniques, viticulture, and grape varieties. </li><li>Collaboration: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a positive and professional manner. </li><li>Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends and overtime during the harvest season. </li></ul> <p>Experience Level:</p> <ul> <li>Intermediate Level </li></ul> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
