You enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and you desire to contribute to a strong culture where the entire team works together for the good of each patient.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Endoscopy Technician supports physicians, nurses, and clinical staff in the delivery of safe, efficient, and high quality endoscopic procedures. This role is responsible for supporting pre and post procedure patient care tasks as delegated, preparing procedure rooms, assisting with equipment operation, ensuring proper cleaning and reprocessing of endoscopes, and maintaining a safe environment that adheres to infection control standards and regulatory guidelines.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications and Capabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Possesses competence and character consistent with the Center's mission and objectives. </li><li>Able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for up to eight hours per shift. </li><li>High school graduate or the equivalent nurse aide training or the equivalent. </li><li>Maintains active Basic Life Support Certification </li><li>Completion of an Endoscopy Technician, Medical Assistant, Surgical Technologist, or related program preferred. </li><li>Prior experience in endoscopy, sterile processing, surgical services, or related clinical area preferred. </li><li>Certified Endoscopy Reprocessor (CER) through CBSPD or related credential preferred (or obtained within designated time frame as required by facility). </li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. </li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills. </li><li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment. </li></ul> <p>Key Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Assist nursing staff in preparing patients for endoscopic procedures, including helping with gowning, vital signs collection, transport, and ensuring patient comfort. </li><li>Prepare pre-op bays with necessary supplies and equipment. </li><li>Assist in the recovery/discharge area by supporting nurses with basic patient care tasks as delegated. </li><li>Ensure discharge bays are cleaned, restocked, and ready for incoming patients. </li><li>Prepare endoscopy suites by setting up equipment, supplies, and instrumentation according to procedure type. </li><li>Assist physicians and nurses during gastrointestinal procedures. </li><li>Position and support patients under the direction of licensed staff. </li><li>Operate endoscopy and video equipment as instructed. </li><li>Ensure proper storage of scopes in approved cabinets and environments. </li><li>Adhere to all infection prevention practices, including PPE use and environmental cleaning protocols. </li><li>Maintain awareness of patient safety risks and assist with fall prevention and emergency procedures. </li><li>Assist with patient flow, including room turnover and transportation when needed. </li><li>Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions promptly. </li><li>Maintains familiarity with and abides by Blue Cloud's policies and procedures. </li><li>Clean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopes and accessories following manufacturer instructions, facility policies, and regulatory standards (AAMI, SGNA, CDC). </li><li>Document scope reprocessing cycles and maintain tracking logs. </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS</p> <ul> <li>Work with a passionate, dedicated, and talented team in a growing organization committed to doing good </li><li>Health insurance, Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts, disability coverage and additional voluntary plans </li><li>401k plan, including company match </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>No on call, no holidays, no weekends </li><li>Bonus eligible </li></ul> <p>Blue Cloud is an equal opportunity employer.
