<p>Position Summary/Department Summary:</p> <p>Boston Children's Hospital's acclaimed Social Work Emergency Services team responds to social needs and issues in the Emergency Department and throughout inpatient services. We are seeking a full time clinical coordinator social worker to join our Emergency Services (ED) team!</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervisory oversight of a number of social workers in the ED in consultation with the social work manager. </li><li>In collaboration with the social work manager, this position will participate in programmatic development and will support the implementation of program initiatives within the assigned service area. </li><li>Serves as a primary liaison with the multidisciplinary team regarding clinical concerns or case practice decisions and will escalate quality assurance issues, and thematic trends to leadership as needed. </li><li>Provides direct clinical care and coordination of services for assigned patients. </li><li>Coordinates patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. </li><li>Monitors patient progress and adjusts care plans as appropriate. </li><li>Manages assigned caseload and ensures timely service delivery. </li><li>Educates patients and families regarding treatment plans and community resources. </li><li>Conducts psychosocial assessments and implements established interventions. </li><li>Identifies patient needs and facilitates appropriate referrals and services. </li><li>Participates in interdisciplinary meetings and contributes to care planning. </li><li>Supports implementation of program initiatives within assigned service are </li><li>Provides feedback on program processes and patient care outcome </li><li>Participates in departmental meetings and case conferences </li><li>Serves as a clinical resource within scope of role. </li><li>Manages individual workflow and prioritizes individual responsibilities </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>A master's degree in social work </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of two years of social work experience required. Several years of medical social work leadership experience highly preferred </li><li>Strong clinical skills and experience with various therapeutic modalities. </li><li>Cultural sensitivity and comfort with a wide range of racial and ethnic populations. </li><li>Bicultural/Bilingual competency is a plus. </li><li>Must be comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment (sense of humor is valued!). </li></ul> <p>Licensure/Certification:</p> <p>LICSW in the state of MA required</p> <p>This position is 100% onsite and new hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus</p> <p>Schedule: M-F 8:00AM - 4:30PM</p> <p>The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.</p> <p>Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
