<p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Plan, coordinate and perform high throughput expression of biotherapeutic proteins using suspension CHO cells at various scales (plate based, tube based and flask based) with automated platforms; Determine key cell-culture parameters and interpret findings. </li><li>Transfection, Culture monitoring, Harvest, Titer determination and Western blot analysis as needed. </li><li>Design and produce DNA for use in transient and stable transfections. Perform molecular biology techniques as necessary: cloning, DNA scale up, sequencing analysis </li><li>Evaluate new technologies and process changes to improve the productivity, quality and consistency of the expression processes. </li><li>Independently interpret, communicate and present results through reports and internal presentations. </li><li>Work closely with counterparts from other functional areas to deliver on research milestones while adhering to broad project timelines. </li><li>Comply with all applicable regulations, perform all work in a safe manner; maintain proper records in accordance with SOP's and policies. </li><li>Contributes to lab organization, reagent tracking and other tasks as determined appropriate </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Thorough understanding of cell culture basics. </li><li>Hands-on experience in cell culture (mammalian) and exceptional aseptic techniques. </li><li>Strong attention to details and excellent organizational skills. </li><li>Able to learn quickly and excel in a past-faced work environment; self-motivation, adaptability and positive attitude. </li><li>Hands-on experience in handling automation/HTP antibody expression is a plus </li><li>Ability to work in plate based formats (24 well, 96 well) </li><li>Knowledge of DNA and molecular biology including basic DNA quality assessments </li><li>Apply knowledge of basic theory and scientific principles </li><li>Concise and accurate reporting of technical data and information </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and multi-task </li><li>Ability to work in team-oriented environment </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with three-plus (3+) years of experience in related scientific discipline, or Master's Degree from an accredited institution in related scientific discipline or equivalent experience in related field </li></ul>
